By creating an account or using HeirLoft ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and anyone who accesses or uses the Service.
HeirLoft is a digital estate management platform that allows individuals to inventory online accounts, subscriptions, and domain assets; assign successor designations and intent; and generate a Handoff Guide for executors or family members.
The Service is provided "as is" and is intended for personal use. HeirLoft is not a legal document service, estate attorney, or financial advisor. Nothing in this Service constitutes legal or financial advice.
You must provide a valid email address and create a password to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
You must be at least 18 years of age to use HeirLoft. By registering, you represent that you meet this requirement.
You agree to:
— Provide accurate and complete information when creating your account and inventory. — Keep your account credentials secure and notify us immediately of any unauthorized access. — Use the Service only for lawful personal purposes. — Not attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or otherwise extract data from the Service. — Not use the Service to store, transmit, or distribute illegal content.
You are solely responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the information you enter into HeirLoft. We do not verify the accuracy of your estate inventory.
If you connect your Gmail account, you grant HeirLoft read-only access to scan your inbox for subscription-related emails. This access is governed by Google's OAuth policies.
You can revoke this access at any time. Revoking access does not delete accounts already imported — you may delete those manually.
HeirLoft's use of Gmail data is limited to the features described in this service and our Privacy Policy. We do not use Gmail data for advertising or sell it to third parties.
HeirLoft offers a free tier and paid Pro plans (monthly and annual). Paid plans are billed through Stripe.
Free tier: Access to core features with limits on accounts and domains as described on the pricing page.
Pro Monthly ($4.99/month): Billed monthly, cancel anytime. Your subscription remains active until the end of the billing period.
Pro Annual ($29/year): Billed annually. No refunds for partial years unless required by applicable law.
We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers.
You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings or by contacting us at support@heirloft.app.
Upon cancellation:
— Your Pro access continues until the end of the current billing period. — You will not be charged again. — Your data remains accessible on the free tier (subject to free tier limits).
To delete your account entirely, contact us at privacy@heirloft.app. Account deletion is permanent and irreversible.
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using HeirLoft, you agree to the collection and use of your data as described in the Privacy Policy.
The HeirLoft name, logo, and all content on the Service (excluding user-submitted content) are the property of HeirLoft and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You retain ownership of all content you create within the Service. By using the Service, you grant HeirLoft a limited license to store and process your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, HeirLoft shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data or loss of access to your digital assets.
HeirLoft is a personal organizational tool and does not guarantee legal enforceability of any successor designations or handoff instructions created within the platform. Consult an estate attorney for legally binding documents.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice within the Service. Continued use of HeirLoft after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
